HIPs (Home Information Packs) - Suspended!
With effect from 21st May 2010 you will no longer need a Home Information Pack to sell your property. You will still need to have an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) but you can market your property for sale as soon as you want as long you obtain this EPC within 28 days afterwards.
This should speed up your sale and also will save you at least £200 and more. The EPC generally costs about £60/£70.
