David Trood
David Trood is a Director of the firm. He has over 25 years of experience in the legal profession and specialises in employment law, and litigation related matters.
He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
He acts for both employers and employees; advising on or drafting employment contracts and policies, settlement agreements and dealing with employment disputes.
In litigation, David has particular expertise in residential landlord and tenant and property matters, building disputes and contentious probate. He has also handled a wide range of personal injury claims.
He has considerable experience in dealing with claims in the Employment Tribunal, County Court and High Court. He is often praised for his insightful approach to the law and his highly pragmatic and realistic advice.
David graduated in Modern History from Oxford University before attending Nottingham Law School. He joined Bird & Lovibond as a trainee solicitor in 1995, qualified in 1997, became a Partner in 2003 and is now a Director. He is based at our Uxbridge office.
He has strong ties to the local community, being a director of the Uxbridge Business Improvement District and a trustee of Multi Academy Trust compromising several local schools.
He is a keen sportsman with a particular interest in football, (despite supporting Luton Town!) cricket and runs the occasional 10k or half marathon.
